It is with a mix of nostalgia and excitement that we share this significant update with you. Sixteen years ago, Soft Health and Healing Clinic opened its doors in downtown Brooks, and it’s been an incredible journey. However, after careful consideration, Dr. McColman has decided to take the next step in his career, leading to some important changes.

As of October 1st, 2023, Soft Health and Healing Clinic will be closing its doors in Brooks. Dr. McColman will be relocating to Calgary to join the dedicated team at Shephard Health, located in the vibrant Kensington district. For those of you who wish to continue receiving chiropractic care from Dr. McColman, he will be thrilled to welcome you to his new office in Calgary after October 1st. Please send us a message, and we will ensure a seamless transition of your care.

We want to take this moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for entrusting us with your chiropractic needs throughout these sixteen years. It has been an honour and a privilege to be part of your health and wellness journey. Your trust and support have meant the world to us. Our practice at Soft Health and Healing Clinic focuses on chiropractic wellness as well as relief of pain from spinal and musculoskeletal injuries from the other joints in the body . We provide comprehensive care for back pain, neck pain, headaches, shoulder pain, arm pain, leg pain, and injuries to the body from a car accident, sports injury or other causes. Injuries from repetitive strain at work or at play are treated primarily with Active Release (ART) and Graston therapies, the gold standards in soft tissue care, Spinal injuries are primarily treated with Cox Flexion/Distraction a well researched and document , gentle spinal decompression technique.
We also utilize therapeutic modalities such as Low Intensity Laser Therapy and current to promote healing and blood flow to the injured areas.

Our chiropractic practice respectfully serves the Brooks area, also providing care to WCB and MVA patients.

Dr. McColman’s love of sports and fitness led him to the field of chiropractic. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2001 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa.

Established in 1897, Palmer was the first school of chiropractic in the world. The Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research is the largest and most highly funded research effort in the chiropractic educational community.

While studying at Palmer, Dr. McColman suffered a soft tissue injury and was introduced to what has become a large focus of his practice: Active Release Therapy (ART).

After being successfully treated with ART, he knew that he wanted to find and utilize therapies that would complement chiropractic in his clinic. In practice for over 20 years now, he is trained and has a great deal of experience in the Cox Technic, Active Release Therapy, Low Level Laser Therapy, Shockwave, Graston, and Microcurrent Therapy.

Dr. McColman enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and 2 children. Biking, skiing and boating are favourites although he loves to try any type of sport!
